Privacy
Dawn has no accounts, no analytics, and no ads. What you do in it is your business.
In the app
- Your tabs, spaces, history, and settings are stored on your Mac, in Dawn’s folder in Application Support.
- Dawn doesn’t send us anything. There’s no usage tracking and no crash reporting service.
- The sites you visit and the search engine you pick (Google, DuckDuckGo, or Bing) see what they would see in any browser.
- Some things talk to Google, as they do in Chrome: installing and updating extensions from the Chrome Web Store, downloading the Widevine module that streaming sites need for protected playback, and fetching Chrome’s list of revoked certificates every few hours. None of these say which sites you visit.
- Incognito windows keep their cookies and history in memory only, and forget them when you close the window.
On this website
- No cookies, no analytics, and no third-party scripts.
- The fonts are served from this site, not from a font service.
- The company hosting the site may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested.
