What’s different

No AI, no account

Dawn has no built-in AI and nothing to sign in to.

Tabs that put themselves away

Edge puts idle tabs to sleep. Dawn archives the ones you didn’t pin after 12 hours, and the command bar still finds them.

Chrome extensions, as they are

Edge needs a setting to allow Chrome Web Store extensions. Dawn installs them directly.

Where Edge wins

It runs everywhere, comes with Windows, and syncs with your Microsoft account.

Switching from Edge?

Dawn brings over your bookmarks in one click.

Edge and Dawn: questions

What comes over from Edge?

Your bookmarks (Edge calls them favorites), from every Edge profile, as pinned tabs. History, passwords, and extensions stay in Edge.
